Bandung - Indonesian - Udang Goreng Mentega

Bandung - Udang Goreng Mentega - Shrimp, mushroom, green and red pepper, onion and potato stir fired in a buttery garlic cream sauce; I repeat "buttery garlic cream sauce."  I've had this dish many times and it is always perfect; so sweet and creamy, absolute satisfaction to the taste buds.  I am not kidding either when I say I always end up licking my plate getting every last drop of that smooth, buttery, flavorful sauce.  Hands down to this dish!

Muramoto - Grilled Chicken Breast - Spicy Asian BBQ sauce, yukon, zucchini, and onion.  Chicken will always be chicken - hence why it's always safe and the saying "tastes just like chicken" means it has a common flavor and you can't go wrong.  But this chicken is different with thanks to the amazing sauce.  Unfortunately, there's no real spicy or BBQ flavor to it - it is very mild.  Yet, the sauce is absolutely addicting like Muramoto's other dishes (Shrimp Saute & Hanger Steak), the dish leaves you with your tongue searching for every last bit of the sauce.

Takara Badger Roll

Takara Badger Roll - Lobster tempura, cucumber, avocado, asparagus, crab, and tempura crunch; all piled high to make this amazing signature roll.  If you think sushi isn't filling, you gotta try this Badger Roll.  The roll sits about 3 inches high and that's not the only awesome thing; the lobster is just absolutely plump and succulent!  I was very impress with this one.

Muramoto - Strawberry Spring Rolls - with bean paste on honey ginger ice cream.  Yes, it tastes the way it presents itself - amazing, crafty, and refreshing.  Ever had a delicious light dessert? This would definitely be one.  All the flavors were there: a mild sweet and tangy fruit flavor from the strawberry, a nice crispy pastry flavor from the wrap, and a sweetness of honey and a kick of ginger from the ice cream.  Crazy amazing dessert you won't feel guilty about.

Muramoto Gun Smoke

Muramoto - Gun Smoke - Smoked salmon, mizuna, tomato, bacon-tempura crunch, masago mayo.  A really smooth combination you gotta try.  I'm not sure why it's called the gun smoke; nothing dangerous about this roll. It actually has a calm taste that is surprisingly enjoyable.  The salmon was fresh and tender; the mizuna was mild and complimented the smoothness without fighting (usually it has a kick); and the bacon-tempura crunch gave it a contrast that did not overpower the rest of the ingredients.  This roll is very different, the ingredients compliment each other so well you find it relaxing to eat, a seemless fusion of fresh flavors.

Muramoto - Dragon Special Roll - shrimp tempura, eel, avocado, eel sauce, masago mayo.  You've probably had dragon rolls at other sushi joints, though the Dragon at Muramoto is quality.  The fresh avocado, plump shrimp tempura, and tender eel is just perfect.  Best Dragon roll I've ever had.

Biaggi's Tirami Su

This tirami su was amazing!  Do I need to say more?  It was rich and light at the same time, moist and smooth; just awesome.  What is different about this tirami su from others is the rich smooth chocolate curls that gives it an extra silky smooth chocolate flavor.  The mascarpone mousse was also deliciously moist and smooth.  You gotta try it - I recommend not sharing ;)

Biaggi's North Atlantic Saith

One of Biaggi's chef's specialties is the North Atlantic Saith, a moist flaky fillet served with vegetable couscous, clams, mussels, and a gralic-saffron seafood broth.  This dish was pretty subtle, nothing too striking or different from any other seafood dish or even within itself.  The broth was key to the dish.  It acted as a flavor enhancer and brought your taste buds full circle with the seafood flavor.  The texture was great, the fish and seafood were fresh and cooked perfectly.
